Is it safe to return to my home?

Evacuated residents should not return to their homes until advised by City Officials.

Mandatory evacuations were conducted in some areas of the City in response to an imminent threat to public safety and these areas have not yet been deemed clear for return. Residents who unlawfully return to these areas do so at great personal risk.  Should conditions change and the area become under imminent threat again, emergency responders will not conduct additional searches or provide new evacuation notifications.  For your safety, please heed the mandatory evacuation orders in place and stay out of these areas until we can ensure that it is safe to reenter.

Additionally, in many of the evacuated areas, electrical or gas services have not been restored.

Official announcements of when it is safe to return will be shared through the city’s web site, media outlets, and social media.
