The City of Santa Rosa has developed the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Final Draft Plan Update 2018. Plan Update 2018 is a critical tool in building a citywide transportation system that is bicycle and pedestrian friendly. The goal of the Plan Update is to encourage more residents to bike and walk in Santa Rosa.
One year ago, the City began the process to update the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, reaching out to the community who responded with an incredible level of participation. Citizens engaged in the Community Open House events, provided feedback for the online surveys and shared their visions through the interactive maps. Additionally, they reviewed and helped refine the draft plan update moving the City ever closer to prioritizing plans for additional bikeways, walkways, trails and pedestrian enhancements in Santa Rosa.
The Final Draft Plan Update will be presented
to the Planning Commission on February 14 in Council Chambers. Once approved, the
Planning Commission is requested to recommend that the Council adopt the Plan Update
On Thursday, February 14, 2019 the City of Santa Rosa Planning Commission approved the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update for recommendation to City Council. The master plan update will go before City Council for adoption in mid-March.
