Red Flag Warning Extended

Red Flag Warning Extended for August 16

The National Weather Service (NWS) has extended the Red Flag Warning for Sonoma County, including all of Santa Rosa. The Red Flag Warning is in effect through 11am, Monday (8/17). Visit and go to alerts and warnings to learn more about Red Flag Warnings and how to prepare.

The NWS has also issued a new Heat Advisory for today that is in effect until 9pm tonight (8/16). This heat event is still considered a Moderate Heat Risk Event.

NOTE: The City is monitoring the forecast for the possibility of High Risk Heat Event days for Monday and Tuesday and the potential need for a Cooling Center(s)
