Dementia Caregivers Support
Caring, confidential and compassionate support group for caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia. At meetings, you’ll learn best practices for coping with challenging behaviors, experience how others are dealing with caregiving issues, discuss the latest research and receive information about supportive services in our community. Bingo is back at Steele Lane, but in the larger auditorium to accommodate social distancing and COVID protocols. Join us for a variety of fun games that will challenge your mind and an opportunity to win a prize or two! No food/drink will be provided (due to COVID protocols) so bring your own. Council on Aging (COA) is offering a meal program that will provide lunch on Mondays to those who sign up with them. Facial coverings and pre-registration required. The billiards room is open for those with a reservation! To limit the number of players in the room, you must pre-register for a 3-hour appointment (8 players at a time, 9am-12pm or 12-3pm). This will allow for a COVID safe experience and allow more players to enjoy the billiards room. Facial coverings required. Pre-registration required. Enjoy the best ballroom dancing in Santa Rosa with live bands and DJ music playing your favorite sounds from the ‘40s to present. Keep your feet and spirits floating with the polka, waltz, cha cha, tango, and more. All are welcome with or without a partner. Themed Dance Socials: 8/20 Hawaii Day, 10/29 Halloween, 12/17 Holidays, 2/14 Valentine’s Day. No Dances: 11/26, 12/3, 12/24 and 12/31.
