A Message from Chief Rainer Navarro: Renewing Our Commitment to the Community

On behalf of the men and women of the Santa Rosa Police Department, I want to reaffirm our commitment to our community. Santa Rosa is our home and we are your neighbors. With this new web page we hope to increase transparency, share our policies and continue our discussions about how together we can improve law enforcement practices in our community.

Monday, June 29 | Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County’s “Community Conversations on Race”
The third episode of, “Community Conversations on Race” from 5:30-6:30 PM on Facebook LIVE. Marycruz Rios and Ana Sanchez, of CAP’s Youth Civic Engagement Project (YCEP), along with Vince Harper, will interview Rainer Navarro, Santa Rosa Police Chief. Watch the Facebook LIVE event at 5:30 pm

Tuesday, June 30  | Community Forum and City Council Study Session on the Community Empowerment Plan 
Staff will provide a summary of actions heard from community and present an overview of the SR Community Empowerment Plan so that it may be modified based on public input during the forum. The Community Forum will provide for open dialogue around public safety policies and other City policies, projects, programs, and services that impact our communities of color.  Time, Agenda and Participation Information to be posted HERE
