Born in the Central Valley and raised in Sonoma County, Manny Baldenegro is a fourth-generation Mexican American and the first in his family to attend a four-year University. He attended St. Eugene’s and Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa and then went on to graduate from UCLA with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Chicano & Chicana Studies. In February 2008, he was recognized as a “distinguished alumnus” by UCLA’s Academic Advancement Program for his political and community work. Manny is currently a new staff member with the United Way of the Wine Country in Sonoma County and works closely with the CEO on all aspects of the non-profit organization that serves five northern California counties.
