Daily Schedule

May 5 - 7 (Sunday - Tuesday)

IRONMAN Village Set-up

Officials will be in Courthouse Square setting up for the IRONMAN event, which will close both roads leading through the square--Couthouse Square Road East and West. Courthouse Square West Road will be closed on Sunday, May 5, from 9:30 am to Monday, May 13, at 5 pm. Courthouse Square East Road will be closed from Tuesday, May 7, to Monday, May 13, at 8 am.

In these first three days, no other streets in the Downtown will be impacted during set up of the village. For more details about road closures and impacts throughout the week, go to the Detours and Road Closures page.

May 8 - 9 (Wednesday - Thursday)

All activities in Courthouse Square

IRONMAN Village - 9 am to 5 pm

Join elite athletes, bike specialists, race vendors, city staff and event officials and so many more during the tune-up to one of the greatest tests of endurance on the planet.

May  10 (Friday)  

All activities in Courthouse Square.

IRONMAN Village - 9 am to 5 pm

Official IRONMAN Store opens - 9 am to 3 pm

VIP Spectator Credential Pick-Up - 9 am to 5 pm

For those VIPs watching the race, come down to the Village to get your VIP viewing passes.

RACE DAY! - May 11 (Saturday)

Race Start, Swim Course - 6:40 am to 7:10 am
Lake Sonoma, Wine Country, Windsor, Santa Rosa

Athletes begin the race with a 2.4-mile swim starting in Lake Sonoma. 

Bike Course - 8 am to 10 am
Lake Sonoma, Wine Country, Windsor, Santa Rosa
(First cyclists expected in Courthouse Square starting at 10 am)

Athletes will follow a 112-mile bike path that takes them through wine country, both sides of 101-North and Windsor before ending in Santa Rosa's Courthouse Square. From about about 10 am to noon, the first cyclists are expected to arrive in Courthouse Square, where they will transition into the run course of the event.

(First runners expected to finish in Courthouse Square starting at 3 pm)

Runners finish the bike portion of the race in Courthouse Square and begin the full marathon (26.2 miles) part of IRONMAN, looping three times on a portion of the Santa Rosa Creek Trail. From 3 pm and onward, the first runners are expected to cross the finish line. Expect non-professional IRONMAN athletes hourly, with some racers crossing the finish line around 10 pm to midnight.

Awards Ceremony  - 9:30 am
