CarMax


CarMax Inc., the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, completed its planning and building permits and is now open for business on Corby Avenue.  The new facility has a capacity to stock up to 300 used vehicles, and includes an 11,500-square-foot showroom and office building, adjoining 3,300-square-foot service center and 900-square-foot car wash on the seven acre site.

North Street Apartments


The project was approved to develop a 20 apartment unit on a vacant lot. The development will include a covered outdoor barbecue and gathering area, 52 on-site parking stalls and landscaping throughout. The project includes sidewalk and street tree improvements as well.

Hyatt Vineyard Creek

 

The Hyatt Vineyard Creek hotel is expanding from the existing 155- room and conference center site with the addition of 40,200 square feet of new building on the north side of the existing hotel. The expansion will include 90 new guest rooms.

The City’s first permitted medical cannabis manufacturing and laboratory have opened.  The manufacturing use includes extraction processing and product packaging and occupies 32,847 sq. ft., representing the state license Type 6 (Medical Cannabis Manufacturing, Non-Volatile).  The laboratory use includes testing and analysis and will occupy 2,448 sq. ft, representing state license Type 8 (Medical Cannabis Testing/Lab).  Both uses are located within an existing building at 2330 Circadian Way.

Kaiser Medical Office Building (MOB)


Kaiser Permanente is constructing an 87,300 square foot medical office building on a 6.64-acre development site. As designed, the building will be three stories tall with a height of 49 feet at the highest point. The site will cinclude water efficient landscaping, a meandering pedestrian pathway and multiple public art installations.

WINTER 2017 EDITION: 

Nordstrom Rack

The project was approved to demolish an existing 28,791 square foot, two-story retail and office building to construct a 31,023 single-story clothing retail building for Nordstrom Rack. Updates to the existing landscaping, internal circulation, and parking areas were also approved.
