2019 Violence Prevention Seminar Information
The City of Santa Rosa's Community Programs & Engagement Department cordially invites you to the 2019 Violence Prevention Seminar, "Tipping the Scale: Managing Trauma to Build a Resilient Community," which launches The Violence Prevention Partnership's 2nd Annual Gang Prevention Awareness Month. The seminar will open with a 3-hour workshop delivered by Elizabeth Vermilyea, Ph.D., focusing on identifying strategies to build resiliency for our youth and families. After lunch, the seminar delivers breakout sessions in partnership with the Santa Rosa Police Department, Santa Rosa City Schools and additional community partners, covering areas such as: local emerging trends in law enforcement, collaborating with students and school districts, and self-care for direct service providers.
