Since moving to Santa Rosa in 1991, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others and doing whatever I can to strengthen our community and quality of life.

My passion to improve the livelihood of Santa Rosa residents is unwavering: I’ve helped tenants of mine become homeowners by guiding them through the homebuying process and providing a free month’s rent for their down payments.  I did so because I strongly believe the best way for any person to have permanent housing and build toward their eventual retirement is to own their home. I am glad to help them.  I’ve also made it a standard practice to charge below market rents, because I’m committed to building a fair, equitable and sustainable future for our community. I believe in fairness between owners and renters.

Through my involvement with local non-profit organizations, I’ve built programs to bring at-risk teens in to a corporate environment, mentoring and teaching them about business. I had the joy of seeing young people flourish, and many went on to seek further education after high school as a result.  I did this because I am committed to preparing people to enter the workforce and succeed, even when the odds are against them.  I’ve also reviewed or prepared thousands of tax returns free of charge, offering my financial expertise to help our community, from Veterans, nurses and farmworkers, to students and people experiencing homelessness. In short, I’ve come to know many and respect all people in our community.

Since last October’s firestorms, Santa Rosa has faced profound challenges, from a worsening housing crisis to a sobering budgetary outlook.  As a CPA and small business owner with housing finance expertise, I’m uniquely qualified to confront the financial realities Santa Rosa faces as we rebuild and recover.  If elected, I will bring unparalleled financial acumen to carefully review and manage our city’s finances as the city works to close its multi-million dollar budget deficit.

On the City Council, I’ll dedicate myself to creating affordable housing while ensuring the surrounding infrastructure can manage projected growth; develop measurable programs to address homelessness; and ensure we sustainably and responsibly plan for the future to emerge as a stronger, more resilient community.

While these challenges won’t be solved overnight, I have a proven record in these areas as a multi-family property owner, a CPA who’s worked with underserved populations, and a business owner with an MBA and a record of success managing budgets and financial analysis no matter how complex.  In these trying times, I am committed to being a champion for these and other important community issues, whether it be our rebuilding challenges, neighborhood traffic issues, supporting our first responders as they keep our community safe or ensuring a quality education for our youth.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my campaign, you can call me directly at (707) 525-9526, email me at, or visit my website at

I respectfully ask for your vote to serve on the Santa Rosa City Council.

Thank you.
