Referendum Petition Fraud Complaints

We have received complaints alleging that individuals circulating a referendum petition objecting to the City Council's adoption of a rent control ordinance have provided misleading information to voters considering whether to sign the petition. If you wish to file a complaint regarding potential petition fraud, please contact the Santa Rosa Police Department at 707-528-5222; for emergencies, call 911.

On March 7, 2017, the Council took action by Resolution No. RES-2017-033 to order the submission of a measure relating to the City’s Rent Stabilization and Other Tenant Protections Ordinance No. 4072 and by Resolution No. RES-2017-035 to order the submission of a measure relating to the Cannabis Business Tax in the City of Santa Rosa at the Special Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
