Visitors are welcome to take a Self-Guided Tour to navigate through the rich history of the cemetery. Printed Self-Guided Tour brochures are available at the kiosks near the entrances.

Friday, April 13 - Darkside ToursIt's Friday the 13th! Take a walk on the dark side at the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery with all new graveside reenactments featuring grisly tales of murders, suicides and other tragedies. Not suitable for children under 10. Pre-registration required. Tickets go on sale February 15, and hurry, they sell out FAST! $35.
Saturday, April 14 - History Walking Tours
Learn the stories of the people of Sonoma County and California during an 80 minute docent-led walk. Tours depart from Franklin Gate every 20 minutes from 10 - 11am. Free admission.
Monday, May 28 - Memorial Day Ceremony
Honor the day with special guests, refreshments, and tours of veterans' graves. 12pm at the Franklin Gate. Free admission.
Saturday, June 9 - Walking Down Cemetery Lane
Introducing a new tour as a fundraiser to help Barney Hoen (one of Santa Rosa's Founding Fathers) get his long-awaited tombstone. Come take a walk down Cemetery Lane and meet Mr. Hoen himself, and let him tell you why Hoen Avenue is named for him and why he deserves a tombstone! You will find out about many of Santa Rosa's early citizens for whom our streets are named. Pre-registration required. Tickets go on sale February 15. $20.

Friday & Saturday, September 14 & 15 - Lamplight Tours
Walk at night through Santa Rosa's oldest cemetery to see and hear all new dramatic portrayals of some of our town's early settlers. This year marks Santa Rosa's sesquicentennial, which will guide this year's theme. Lights, costumes and stage settings create a magical time as characters from the past depict a scene from their lives in the history of Santa Rosa, California and the United States. Children must be age 8 or over. Tours last about 90 minutes. Pre-registration required. Tickets go on sale February 15. Book early--tours sell out by midsummer! $40.

Tombstones & Tales
Four small volumes of stories about people buried in the cemetery are available for purchase at tours and events. ($4 each or $14 for all four).
