SANTA ROSA, CA (DECEMBER 30, 2015) — Santa Rosa seeks community feedback on Carlile-Macy’s Courthouse Square design concepts, based on public input received at the first community meeting on Saturday, December 12, 2015, and through the online survey that collected over 1700 responses. The survey (English | Spanish) will close tomorrow, December 31, 2015, after being open for nearly two months.
The second community meeting will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 10 AM – 12 PM at 19 Old Courthouse Square. At this meeting, the design team will review preliminary design concepts and receive feedback. The public entrance for this community meeting will be accessible on Third Street and there will be signage to help guide people.
The Courthouse Square reunification project is the highest profile public infrastructure project for downtown Santa Rosa in the past 30 years. The City Council voted to reunify Courthouse Square to create a dynamic community gathering space and encourage downtown investment.
Outreach and the construction project timelines are scheduled to minimize construction impacts to downtown businesses.
