City of Santa Rosa Auxiliary Emergency Communications Service
Purpose: The City of Santa Rosa Auxiliary Emergency Communications Service (SR AECS) is a program created by government to supplement its emergency communications with professional, unpaid volunteer staff. SR AECS includes radio communication and infrastructure as an essential component of its communication methods, is part of local government and operates under the joint authority of the City of Santa Rosa Information Technology Department and the City of Santa Rosa Fire Department.
SR AECS members include licensed amateur radio operators who provide amateur and commercial radio services associated with City emergency operations and the City of Santa Rosa Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

Member of the City of Santa Rosa Fire Corps Volunteer program
Residency in the City of Santa Rosa is NOT required.
Successful completion of ICS 100, 200 and 700 (see ICS Training links to right)
- Must hold a valid FCC Amateur Radio license.
